The Cargo Report Center (CRC) is the department in charge of analyzing and studying the claims.

What is a claim?
It is a written complaint made by a customer to Tampa Cargo S.A. regarding the mishandling of the cargo in which the possibility of damage, pilferage, delay or loss has occurred.

What are the time limits for presenting a claim?
Based on the Warsaw or Montreal Convention (whichever applies), that defines the responsibilities of the contracted party in the air transport of international cargo, the time limits for filing a claim begin from the moment in which the merchandise arrives at its destination are:
  • Pilferage: 14 Calendar days
  • Damage: 14 Calendar days
  • Delay: 21 Calendar days
  • Loss/Shortage: 120 Calendar days from the date of issuance of the air waybill
Claims filed beyond these time limits will not be accepted by Tampa Cargo S.A.

How to present a claim to Tampa Cargo S.A.?

If you wish to inform Tampa Cargo about any irregularity suffered to your cargo without having the exact total value of the loss nor enough details and back up, you must notify the Airline within the time limits established.

To notify a preliminary claim to the Airline, you should: fill out this form Form On-Line , or send us your notification via fax, air mail or e-mail.

Tampa Cargo will not study your claim until you have provided us the total claim amount and the required back up documents.

Upon reception of all the documents from you, we will take 15 working days to give you an answer on your case.

Who can present a claim to Tampa Cargo S.A.?
The formal claim must be filed by the consignee that appears on the Master Air Waybill. If the agent or the shipper want to submit the claim, the consignee must assign its rights by sending a letter signed by company's legal representative. The “External Notice” (Format attached) must be filled out and sent by mail, e-mail or fax.

What documentation should you send to Tampa Cargo?
Please enclose the following documents when sending in your claim.
